A Smile For Your Monday

I don’t how many of you are familiar with Jeanne Robertson, but she is adorable– and FUNNY! I just love her because she reminds me of a very particular kind  of Southern woman that truly does exist outside of movies like “Steel Magnolias”–a  beautiful, smiling, gracious, ladylike exterior that belies a sharp wit and a smart mouth. This clip was just sent to me, (Thanks, Cathy Frye!) and I thought it might brighten up your day like it did mine.

Also– there is a faithful member of ‘Bloomr nation who shall remain nameless who will relate to this more than you know.

My lips are sealed.

Truth be told, she basically described Former and I’s second date ! Except I think the guy compared us to Burns and Allen = / Or was it Fibber McGee and Molly… ??

That is truly uplifting! I like her :-)

What is also uplifting for me: my shoulder is doing better; regaining mobility is even faster than with the other shoulder 3 years ago…and still I’m impatient when I realize that I have to wait with certain things.

jonny, who are these guys??? I’m a foreigner, you know :-)

Well, my goodness. I almost missed this! I stayed after my Bible study class tonight to help pack shoe boxes for African orphans and got home late.

This was hilarious, Tori! I love Jeanne! I wish she lived next door. We could have some FUN!

(Does anyone know how difficult it is to join the Episcopalian church?)

    Thanks for the laugh, G.F.!

I’m honored!! Her sense of humor makes me think of you. I might point out that she has a website http://www.jeannerobertson.com. There are many other clips, her schedule, and you can purchase dvd’s. Everyone should go on and sign up for her emails.

Trish: So glad you enjoyed it- and Happy New Year to you, too!

small j: You are so funny- and I love that you gave links to your references, for our foreign friends (and any stray 20 year olds that might be reading this!)

delightedabroad: YAY, so glad you are feeling better!

LindaB: OK, you totally outed yourself.

VA-Cathy: I just love her, too! I’d never heard of her until last year and I spent about 2 hours watching everything I could find on YouTube– but this is a new one, and I would have missed it without you!
