Come to the carnival!

OK, not this kind–

More like THIS kind:

Blog carnival

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

“A blog carnival is a type of blog event. It is similar to a magazine, in that it is dedicated to a particular topic, and is published on a regular schedule, often weekly or monthly.[1]Each edition of a blog carnival is in the form of a blog article that contains permalinks to other blog articles on the particular topic.”

Yeah, I’m still not all that clear on it either, but I’m part of a mommy bloggers one! It is being hosted by

“Expat Mums Blog– A parenting blog for expat mums in the UK, by expat mums in the UK”

so that’s kind of cool, right? I contributed the post I wrote about Russ on Valentine’s Day, and there are lots of really good posts by some really good mommy bloggers that I think you will enjoy reading. Go check them out, OK? Here’s the link:

***OH!!! One more thing! Today is Madi’s boyfriend Ricky’s birthday, who is cute as a bunny:

Don’t you think he needs to hear a few Happy Birthdays from some of Madi’s buddies?!

Drop him a line: rickyworleyradio@gmail.com

Gracious, I just now found your last blog on “graces,” and I couldn’t resist posting to that one.

After that, I read this one….and promptly sent a Happy Birthday message to Ricky.

I loved that “graces” one…I have found myself finding more “graces” everyday now. :)

Happy Birthday to you rickyworleyradio :)

Her boyfriend huh… Wasn’t a certain someone going after him with a shot-gun?? And I was going to support the venture. My bad! And Serious egg on face!! I trust he made it to his birthday in one piece = / Thanks also for the graces post. Many times I’ve attempted to, started writing something to add there, but haven’t gone through with it. Good to read it’s blessed, graced so many. And good to be reminded that God is obviously still good. And of course, happy birthday Ricky!! = ) = ) = ) I hope a couple of us haven’t sacred him away from stopping by here = /

Not even remotely resembling a mommy blogger I clicked rather desultorily on the link. Before I knew it I was deep in the cyber netherworld of mommy and mummy blogs! I wandered around fascinated, clicking myself into a frenzy trying to navigate the maze of maternal miscellany. Also it’s very enlightening to see what “you lot” over there think of “us lot” over here! “Rules, Britannia” is now on my must read list!

Thanks Tori and thanks for visiting my blog :)

I’ve been gone on a work trip, so I missed the “Graces” blog. It was fun to read them all in one swoop! So here’s mine:

    1. A good book
    2. The sound of children playing (especially on the beach)
    3. At the beach – the warm sand on my feet (usually while reading my good book)
    4. Sunsets (preferably at the beach)
    5. A safe plane trip – hopefully to the beach! I guess #1 should be “The Beach”!
    6. Kids who earn their own living (except it shows up [or doesn’t show up] on my taxes because I can’t claim them as deductions anymore! Ouch!)
    7. The daffodils and tulips peeking through the dirt – they do that every year, no matter what. Ahh, spring is coming! Put away the heavy coats, gloves, scarves, boots and hats!
    8. Bread baking, bacon cooking, the smell of coffee
    9. The smell of Thanksgiving dinner
    10. Fall, the first snow
    11. Christmas Eve service at church
    12. “I love you, Mom”
    13. The car starts up every time
    14. A delicious afternoon hot chocolate at Starbucks
    15. The garbage men take ALL of my garbage. Thank you!
    16. A clean garage
    17. Baptisms at church – gets me everytime
    18. Grace – I’m humbled
    19. True friends
    20. A great praise and worship song that says what I don’t know how to say and touches me like nothing else can. Songwriters – I’m amazed at how they can take an idea, concept, word or Scripture and say exactly what needs to be said; then put that to the right music. Wonder what it’s like to be in a room where everyone is singing “your song”?

Well, that about does it for now…so good to remember and to be reminded to remember. Thanks, Tori.
