Just got this from one friend who has been helping a friend of his out (Bob) the past few years while Bob’s wife has been undergoing the most horrid operations and treatments for cancer I’ve heard of to date. I’m not exaggerating that either. Anyway, here’s the latest on her status:

“I just got a call from Bob and they’ve discontinued (his wife’s) feedings and they are just giving comfort care. They expect her to pass in the next 24-36 hours.”

Prayer would be most welcomed and appreciated.

My dad passed the day I closed on my dream home. I often look back and I see God’s hand and timing in it all. It gives me such comfort and assurance of His existence and promise that I’ll see my mom & dad again. Sending my love!!!

I guess you can’t wait to move in now, however now the hard work of packing etc. Probably you have already done a lot in preparation for people viewing the old house. The joy of getting rid of a lot of ‘stuff’ if you’re like us and also acquiring new for the new house. I guess you will be visiting the antique shops again!
Enjoy and don’t overdo it.

And you thought the one you posted for us all to see which sat off the road was nice; when all the time the Lord had this one set aside just for the Taff family.

I won’t lie and tell you that the pain of your mom’s homecoming will evaporate w/ the move; because it won’t. But if you hold tight to the promises of Ecclesiastes your grief will be less devastating. I truly did undertake a move 28 years ago this coming June w/ in days of my mom’s passing; and it did make a difference.

In reading I thought of you, Russ, Madi and Charlotte in regards to breaking down the life you’ve shared in your current home, and placing it piece by piece into boxes readying them for their new surroundings and the home where your grandchildren will spend summer days on that beautiful porch, or passed on and given away to others. “a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together”
As morose as it may seem, you have a clean slate; by that I mean there is no “Mental Family Photo Album” in your mind, you won’t enter a room; remember a special moment shared, and experience waves of sadness. It may seem odd @ first, but it does help.

I wish you all the joy the Lord has to offer; and may the Holy Spirit fill each and every corner, nook and cranny.

This is what I was talking about a long time ago on here——when God takes something away from his child, he gives them something in return to help ease the pain of loss. Nothing can take the place of your sweet mom, but by God giving you this long awaited and prayed for home in the country, He is blessing you with something to keep you busy and happy until you see her again! And it’s like a little tap on your shoulder to say “I’m still here watching over you and blessing you, Child!”

This house is absolutely adorable! Everything about it says, “Come on in! Sit a spell and have some coffee and banana bread.” So many of your friends have prayed for this house for you and Russ, now I’m praying God will bless it and your family with peace and contentment within it’s walls, and may every room be furnished with joy, thankfulness,…….and LOVE! I’m so happy for you!

So……how are you going to furnish that gorgeous porch? Rocking chairs? Planters?

So happy for you guys!

There’s love and warmth shining out of those windows…and you aren’t even in there yet. I’d like to do hand stands and somersaults…the spirit is willing but the body is weak (a little paraphrasing)

We moved into our present home very soon after my mother went Home. At first, I was sad that mother didn’t even have a chance to see our home…but as time went on, while I felt blessed with so many wonderful memories of mother, I didn’t have those memories of seeing her everywhere I looked in our “now” home…and have that missing-her sadness envelope me even more.

So, you’re moving….answered prayers are so very sweet.

I love it just from the picture of the outside alone. I know you all will make it just as gorgeous inside as well. I have to admit – I’m a tad jealous too. LOL

Love you, sweet lady, and know you are always in my thoughts, heart, and prayers. Remember, you never walk alone.

I know you lost your Dad not long ago too, but it’s okay to cry and long for conversation with them. We hold on to the faith that we shall see them again, probably welcoming us with those pearly gates wide open and taking us to see the King of Kings.

Secondly, your house is beautiful – so homey from the outside. I am just a tad jealous, not too much to be sinful, just a little haha.

You are a beautiful person and I know how much you love and adore your family. I am excited you get to create a new home and sit on that big ole porch sippin’ your favorite beverage. Mine at this time is a cup of hot coffee since it seems fitting for this cool spring day. Enjoy it and live blessed.
