None of us can possibly know your pain; we can try and place ourselves in your shoes, but I’m sure it would fall short.

I’ve heard others state that when their surviving parent passes away they have a profound glimpse of what it must be like to experience the pain of being orphaned, and I agree, no matter our age; and especially when it’s our mom that invisible “Safety net” is now gone.

No matter their age, or abilities we always knew a hug, kiss or phone call coupled w/a “Mom loves you Honey” can, and always would heal a multitude of hurts.

We love you Kido, and continue to lift you; and the family to the Lord, praying that you will feel his loving arms holding you close.

And know that your community is always here, we have strong shoulders, whenever you need us.

One of the stupidest things ever said to me was a few months later. My husband’s uncle died – he was in his eighties. His daughter-in-law said, “Well, it’s not a sad thing – he lived a good, long life. It’s not like it’s a tragedy or something.” I told her that was a load of…hooey. This person has been a major part of your life for…well, forever. And you’re not going to notice that they’re gone now? Because they were “old?” Pah. That’s a huge, gaping hole ripped into the fabric of your life…

Death is hard…it’s ugly & cruel…it separates us from the ones that we love. As Christians, we’re not told NOT to mourn – only that our mourning is different. We are promised that our sorrow will turn to joy…but the process in getting there sure isn’t an easy one! Thank You, Jesus, that You are right there with us the whole time.

I can only imagine !!

It’s amazingly wonderful the way God lifts one of His children out of the midst of deep sorrow and tears at her passing…into a place of such beauty and joy, like Heaven. Leaving behind a wealth of memories, smiles, and wise words that continue to minister long after she has gone Home.

She was talking to the minister about Israel. And he couldn’t keep up with her. She gave him every scripture she knew on the subject and challenged him for his views. And when he finally escaped she very primly said,”Well,I think I gave him something to think about.” I don’t tell it as well as you did, but I always wanted to be educated by her on this topic.

This story about her was definitely in my top three.

My favorite story you ever told about her was from Leah’s wedding when she cornered the minister to discuss the problems-political and spiritual

And you were her baby, her literal, end-of-the-line baby. I think a mother looks at the end of her line of children with special eyes.

Wish there was a way we could make it less hard for you.

Peace and Strength – two of my favorite words. Peace that passes understanding – we can’t understand how or why we feel peace, in our heart and in our MIND! But thru God, we can.

How good to know that Christ’s resurrection from the dead gives us eternal hope in the midst of our present and real pain.

You have faith…you have hope…you have love. And – love never dies.
