I happen to be a Cat person; but I’ve rescued, (using that term loosely) my fair share of Cats and Kittens. Years ago I actually had people dropping strays and unwanted pets in my yard; because I was known for feeding any and all; and then finding homes for them. I’m a widow, and I have a “Pip” of my own named Bustopher; he was eight days old when he opened his eyes; and my face was what he saw, friends have said, “They don’t even want to be around me when he passes.” I can totally understand; and sympathize w/ your loss; I think if it’s possible for the rocks to cry out, then it’s also possible for a give/take relationship to develop as you have described. The Lord doesn’t just give us what we need; I believe that as far as the Taff household was concerned that day long ago, he also blessed you w/ your heart’s desire. You will be in my prayers.
