Oh, no thunder stealing involved. I’d rather not perform, to be honest. It’s just that it came up earlier, that I should do some songs, and I suggested in return that maybe we should get Russ to be the main ‘singing for the ladies’ guy for the evening. If wanted, or required, I could do a few songs before he gets up and dazzles everyone with his voice, charisma and man sized amounts of perfume. I just pointed out that you were basically seconding a motion already on the floor; so to speak. It’s all good !

Oh my goodness jonny, I didn’t mean to demean your very generous offer to provide entertainment for the Bloomer-Bunch. But as Russ’ No. 1 fan, he is always the first one to come to my mind. I know you understand…..and hearing you on such a special occasion would come barreling in as second.

Rachel, I’d like to see your wedding pictures, too…..but could you send me a note so I can click on it….and thereby go right to your page, please? I’m not too swift getting around on FB.

As far as a Bloomer-Bunch Get-together, I’ll volunteer my home. It’s just Lucy and me here with three bedrooms and a sofa. I could borrow sleeping bags from the kids. (think camping out) And I could have a big pot of soup or chilli upon arrival. LindaB would surely make us pancakes for breakfast at least one morning.

Well, if I understand correctly, if they get posted on facebook facebook has a ten year right to those pictures. An aside; personally I’m getting more than a little frustrated with people who put up photos of myself of myself, tagged, on facebook without checking with me first if it’s OK. I persoanlly don’t do that to others. OK, end of rant. It would be cool to see what Rachel’s hair looked like that day, though.

@ Barbara: i already suggested Russ be the main attaction, music performance wise, at the get-together. I could do a 5-6 song opener, Russ could take it from there.

LindaB – I didn’t go to a beauty or hair salon on my wedding day. My lovely bridesmaid (who was always more of a ‘girly-girl’ than me) did my hair for me. My hair never does what I tell it to but on my wedding say it truly had a mind of its own. I was having my hair down loose, and Hannah spent ages so it curled under perfectly. By the time I walked down the aisle it was totally flicked up – the complete opposite of how it had been styled. I’ve never known anything like it – maybe my hair has a sense of occasion!

Well, Linda Beeeee, I haven’t seen your hair do but I did see your anniversary get-away…..and I’m just thankful all of those rose petals didn’t include briars. Ya know, that wouldn’t be such a bad choice for a Bloomer Get-Together. Of course, without the rose petals. Tori could bring each of us a hankie drenched with Russ’ wonderful smell instead. Thank you, Rachel! I’m showing this to my kids—-they fall on the floor laughing when they see that hairdo! “MOM! What’s with that hair? Your beautician did that to you?” They assume that I went to the beauty shop to have my hair done on my wedding day—-like everyone does these days. But way back then, we didn’t run to the beauty shop—we did our hair ourselves! Primitive, I know!

Hi all! I’ve been out of town. Did see my FIL, who is getting into trouble at the nursing home! (We’re afraid he’s going to try to escape! LOL!)

But the main reason I was gone was for a surprise party last night and a not-surprise luncheon today for my Mom’s 70th birthday! She was truly surprised and we had such fun! Today’s luncheon was with my Gramma, my Mom, my Aunt Sandy (here from Oklahoma), Mom and Sandy’s 1st cousin who Gramma practically raised (who will be 70 later this year), and me (who Gramma also raised). Despite my joke about the girl from Nantucket, I really do write poetry–usually funny stuff commemorating special birthdays,etc. I’ve already done some about Mom so instead I wrote a poem about the 5 of us called “Five Old Broads”! It was a hit!

What fun though to be together!

I saw the tweets you and Lindsay were putting out there the day you got stranded. I figured by the time the two of you got through with that airline you were all going to be flying on a private plane with door-to-door service to each respective home! At least you got the next best thing.

Gang shopping: not an issue ! I spent six and a half years of my life on the road with mostly women. Shopping of any sort with them was usually a blast ! It’s all good.
