I came home last night with a project that I needed to get done,…I changed into my pjs to do it. My daughter came in later and reminded me that I had agreed to take her to Walmart. So, with heavy sighing and self-pity (LOL) I agreed. I was thinking “What can I just throw on?” when I remembered “The People of Walmart” (hear: Jaws music). So I got neatly dressed, brushed my hair and my teeth, and took my daughter! As God is my witness, I will NOT be a photo on that website!!!

If there is something to be said positively about everything…..perhaps I have found the one for not being able to see very well. Gracious, as far as I am concerned, LindaB is 5’6″ and weighs 115 pounds. She hasn’t told me any different, for goodness sake. But about our local WalMart “residents,” I’m thinking we might have a litle class here in the south…..but what do I know?

Whenever I need a really good laugh, I always go to that website. It totally cracks me up every.single.time.

KellyBurton– I have NEVER seen that site, but oh boy, I DO remember those days… And Awkward Family Photos is totally Madi’s favorite.

LindaB– My favorite thing about the site is that I have absolutely seen things JUST LIKE THIS at Walmart stores all over the country! (We hit a lot of them on the road…)

MostlySunny– Well, embarrassingly enough it does seem like there are an inordinately large number of entries from Tennessee and Arkansas!

chillybean– Yep, I would put the Benton Walmart crowd up against anything on that site! Almost every time we go, Madi ends up surreptitiously following somebody around with her camera phone ready…

LindaB– I’ve found it helpful to just check in occasionally and see if I spot anything that looks like me. So far, so good.

jd2008– Jess, you are so right, I would NOT make the mistake of wearing the leopard tights! I would have gone with some tiger-striped ones, just to mix it up.

One day my husband and I were driving to Walmart (also in WI chillybean). I asked if he was going in with me and he said he wasn’t dressed very well. I said (I apologize ahead of time for being rude!) that he was fine if he wasn’t in a pair of pants WAY too small for his butt, slippers, a too-tight dirty shirt and a ripped small Green Bay Packer jacket. We drove into the parking lot and, walking into Walmart was someone in almost exactly the outfit I described. He looked at me and said, “You’re good!” LOL! Wait ’til I show him the website!

Love this site. I have seen some dandies at Walmart up here in Wisconsin. However, when I was in Benton shopping with your sister, it just seemed like the “dandies” were everywhere.

I fear the day I will get caught on camera when I am wearing my pajama pants and haven’t combed my hair. Usually when I go to Walmart, I live with the “when in Rome” philosophy!

oh my goodness… I do believe these photos were taken at my WalMart. Do people own mirrors? The one thing you can say about WalMart… you never really have to worry about remembering that you need milk/bread etc. and you’re in that “cleaning the house all day” type of attire… because no one will think anything about it and you’ll actually still be overdressed!
