What have you been smoking tonight? ROFLMBO!

Well, I AM an old woman and I don’t enjoy fireworks. Besides, I can’t see fireworks from my recliner, so it’s a bust. (No pun intended.)

You remind me of Chicken Little, afraid the sky will fall in on you. And there Tori is making memories for Maddi (I remembered) and Char with their grandparents. My goodness, Linda, all you would have had to do is hold your bra over your head and that stuff would bounce right off. Nothing like a double whammy sling shot!

Anyway, it left a big dent in the roof of my dad’s Nash coup. (I told you I am old.) Now when I go with my kids to see fireworks, I duck and cover my head every time one goes off. It embarrasses them, so I quit going a few years ago. They didn’t miss me. I wonder why. I am relieved. If I wanted sudden loud noises, with accompanying bright lights, I’d go to Iraq. But I’m glad you and your family enjoyed the fireworks, Tori. And all you other gals too. I stayed at home and bowled on our Wii. Got a 200. It was good.

I’d love to hear those camp stories! And the counselor hurling! What a great two weeks! Welcome home, Char! Hope you feel better!

I’m really not into fireworks. They’re too LOUD! Sudden loud noises scare me. My parents used to take us kids (five of us) to see fireworks every Fourth of July—–until the night a “piece” of one of the fireworks hardware went up up into the air and came down on our CAR!!!

I know she is glad she’s there – esp. if she is sick. I always hate it if I am away from home and come down with something. I’m praying Char is doing better. I’ve hurt my right eye so I am having trouble reading the screen and typing tonight. The light is hurting my eye so I’d better get off this thing.

Besides I’ve got to go and praise God for the rain that He just bestowed upon us. We needed it so bad! And we sure got it tonight – at least 5 inches

I loved your favorite saying of the day – isn’t it just extra special to have yet another holiday with your paretns. Does not get much better than that. Glad you were able to be there and to enjoy it with them.

Glad Charlotte had a great time at camp but we all knew she would.

We had some BBQ ribs for the 4th also along with a lot of other great food. Good food, fun with friends and a great 4th! I love to watch the fireworks, that is something that never gets old and you just sit there and ooh and awe no matter how old you get.

It is great to celebrate how blessed we are as Americans.

Ever notice how no matter how much the wandering little one talks or how ridulous she sounds…it is all brilliant in every sense of the word? That verbal picture of three generations sitting, watching fireworks…it’s right out of a Norman Rock(mind went blank) painting. I like the feeling we get on the Fourth of July, our pride in being blessed to be Americans. Well, shucks, what’s more American than ribs from the crib? Love you guys!
